Suppressors VA Senate Tables AW and Suppressor Ban

actually hard to believe, but, HELL YEAH!!!

we had to work extra hard to get this stopped, because we didn't prevent this by getting out and voting this past november. hopefully everyone learns from virginia's lesson and gets out and votes come november!

This is a step in the right direction, no doubt. That said, VA patriots have to now hammer the gas pedal, dont ease up! Fuck face and his “gun safety” groups will be enraged at this development and his pockets are essentially infinite. He won’t quit.

For non-VA patriots, keep providing material support as your resources allow (small contributions to the VCDL here and there, for example).

Start selecting and promoting suitable replacements for bought/paid for Democrats. Regain the Republican majority, perhaps focusing on the Senate.

holy shit, didnt see that coming. This is awesome. Was it 2 democraps that had to flip to kill this??

Four democrats on the committee voted with the Republicans. I think most people were expecting a straight yes or no vote so the chance to vote to table it gave "on the fence" senators an out for this year.

Two additional motions were made to table for a day and call the question. Correctly the chair only allowed the first motion to be voted on despite one senator that wanted the others voted on.

VCDL is cautioning that the dems can still pull some underhanded crap to get it to the floor. Put nothing pass this bunch until the assembly session ends for the year. I hope we Virginians and everybody else has learned a lesson. Vote for a democrat and you sow the wind and reap a world wind.

Never can relax, have to forever promote our cause. This just shows what voter laziness can do to a state and fast.

Don't stop - Keep writing and calling your VA reps daily until the session is over. There are still over a dozen active anti-gun bills to defeat including Red Flag, Universal Background Checks, override of local preemption and more.

Once the session ends, sign up to help in the November election to make sure Sen Mark Warner gets tossed out and Trump gets re-elected. Then its time to start working the 2021 VA session where I'm sure they will be back with another "assault gun" and magazine ban. We can't rest until the end of 2021 and that's only if we manage to win the Presidency and also turn over at least one house of the VA legislature.

I'm really happy for you guys that it didn't pass, but as others have mentioned, the work is just starting.

If pressure is eased up on the Dems now, who knows what sneaky shit they'll do to get it passed.

To heck with that get it off the table and vote the Dems out in 2020.
I wish we could, Virginia’s next election isn’t until 2021 (our election cycles on odd years). Luckily the General Assembly next year is only a 30 day session as opposed to the 60 day session this year. That means they will only put forth bills that have a chance of passing. We need to continue our push with the Public Safety committee members in the meantime.

The governor says he will be back with another try at that bill for next year. One of the dems that voted against said he did so because it made gun parts illegal to possess. If that wasn't in the bill he would have voted for it. Good thing they put it off until the last day they could vote on it. Otherwise they could have tweaked the bill to suit the dems that voted against it. Next year you can bet they will know they have votes in hand before bringing it up for a vote.
Actually Virginia law gives Legislators who vote yes for a bill, the right to ask for a new vote within so many days. But they waited too late.

With 2021 being an election year and so many counties declaring themselves 2A sanctuary, as long as we all show up in large numbers for lobby day in 2021 dems would be hard pressed to pass shit through the house like they did this year.
