Seems to me, the issue is either the ammo or the chamber. I think at this point it's like beating a dead horse when it comes to testing different loads. There have been numerous people testing numerous barrel and ammo combinations and it seems not a single person can come up with a good solution to shoot the heavy bullets. Twist rate doesn't help, nor does load. Could it be that Federal has a bad chamber? Maybe the 90 grain bullets from Sierra just aren't working? I just feel if it had been an issue beyond those that one of the various manufacturers and/or individuals would have been able to solve the issue already. Seems weird that manufacturers are making statements before Federal themselves have spoke a single word about it.

same boat with 22 nosler just called them up all the issues with the brass. Said that it was lies any issues with 22 nosler that anyone says otherwise is fake. Sucks I was going to jump on Valkrie with Accuracy issues, weak brass again, and delays going to wait this one out. Next hype train might be 6mm in AR 15. Think I will just put up with the ar10 platform and all the extra weight atleast the LC brass is tough as shit

I feel you have been watching on FB, one must remember 99% of everything seen there is BS. I have seen JP Enterprises email too and I am sure there is something to that. I, however have not had problems with my 18" 1:7 twist cut rifled Rock Creek barrel. That said I did not spend any more time at 100 yards than what it took to zero the scope before moving out to 3 and 6 hundred yards. While it was very windy my vertical spread was less than two tenths of a mil with FGMM at both.

600 yards

Vertical measured 2.25", even with the 18mph gust that day the horizontal was just a hair over MOA. I'm calling that good given that I just held a fixed .4 tenths for all shots. My environment that day was 43 degrees, 29.36" station pressure 43% humidity for -250' DA which gives me a stability factor of 1.63 in my 1:7 twist barrel.

Shooting thirty shots 75 grain Fed AE at 3 & 4 hundred steel, impacts were running around 1.5-1,75 moa and it was very easy to keep them on the 12" steel plates.

Also consider there is very little data for handloaders, I feel it's a little to soon to declare it a successful failure.

I cant see and never believed how they can sort out jamming a 90g bullet way down in a 223 case to make it work in a AR mag. Just isnt meant for that. You need to single load them to get them up to a speed that makes them worth while.

Niles, this only seems to be an issue with the heavier bullets. From your post it seems you've only shot the 75 grain rounds. I haven't seen very many posts stating the lighter stuff doesn't work, it's just the heavier pills that people have the problems getting to work.

No, 90 grain is the only FGMM loading currently, that is what is pictured at 600.

Niles, I read from one of your posts that someone on Facebook was getting 2800fps out of a 22" barrel .224. Maybe you can help me here as I m running about 80fps slower than Sierra's reloading data. I believe it was 25 grains of Varget which is about 1 grain over Sierra's max load. Even at that load I would think 2700fps would be the velocity with a 24 barrel and a 22 inch would be slower as it is with mine. I have been reloading for years and have yet to find a harder round to get to perform as the Valkyrie. I have talked to Sierra and they state the 90 grain HPBT will stabilize out of a 22" 1/7 twist at 2650 fps. NOT THAT IT IS ACCURATE, just stabile. I have yet to hit that velocity with their reloading tables.
New here to the forum but there is a ton of good info. Just need a little more info on what people are shooting, barrel length, twist, platform, etc.
Myself, AR platform, 22" stainless barrel, 1/7 twist, Delta Team Tactical.

Not just picking on you Niles to help solve my problems, I will take suggestions from anybody to get sub 1" at 100 yards. Right now I am about at 3" groups, which is very bad considering all my bolt guns are less than .5 moa.
