I've been offered a trade toward a couple older HK rifles. The problem is I have no idea on their value. Can someone ball park them for me? ...not looking for anything exact.

First is an HK-94, pre-86. Says it's CA state police marked. It's got the 16" barrel and fixed stock. Comes with 6 HK 30-round mags.

Second is an HK-91, also pre-86. It also has a fixed stock. Comes with 4 HK 20-round mags.

Both are semi-only of course, no Class 3.

Thanks.

Not seeing it and ball parking it I would say the HK91 around $2k to $2.5k and the HK94 about $1K more.
Could be more or less depending on condition.
Not sure if the marking help or hurt it's value.
My HK 94 is my pride and joy, good luck.

Go to HKPRO and look into the classfieds or ask they. They are all that is HK's and that 94 is a PRIMO host canadate.

The HK91 would be easily 2-2.5 as a sell or 2.5-3k as a trade in value.
The Hk94, is it a DOJ corrections hk94 or just says cailfornia state police?
Regardless, you're looking at 4k and up if the condition is clean. 94's and sp89s have really taken off in value this past year, and could easily be sold for a nice chunk of change if you need the cash.

The above advice is pretty spot on. In addition to HKPro...where prices have stayed somewhat "reasonable" even during recent events...you might also log into GunBroker and search for COMPLETED auctions (those that resulted in a winning bid and sale) of the items in question as I find that GunBroker, as INSANE as pricing is there at times, really does tend to give a good pulse reading on what the market will/won't bear at times. Of more importance in getting a better handle on pricing/value will be the overall condition of both rifles, as well as any additional paperwork, accessories, manuals, boxes, etc., included in the trade offer.

I'll also add that letting go of a pristine, non-DOJ trade-in 94 has been one of the single, biggest regrets of my firearms ownership over several decades now. They truly are excellent little carbines and can be the basis for some incredible "conversions" if you are so inclined. Mine was slated for an MP5SD project, but alas...not in the cards. :(

Again, trying to guage the market right now is kind of screwy, but the last one I bought was Spring of 2011: an early 80s HK91 with ALL the factory packaging, test target, steel and aluminum mags, bipod, claw mount, and factory (fixed) stock. If memory serves it was about $2500 or so. The day the first import ban was passed they went from the mid to high hundreds to about $2500 overnight and have seemed to hover there for the past 25+yrs or so. During times of greatest panic they may shift a little, but long-term I think $2-2.5k seems to have been the going price on the 91s.
Can I tell you how many times I've kicked myself for passing on the SP89 for about 800 bucks many years ago because I just couldn't at the time figure out where the "value" in it would be long-term? URRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

Congrats on that 94 you've got. I'm hoping you are trading for something REALLY REALLY serious if THAT thing is in the mix. Monetary value aside, that' just one you're gonna kick yourself for dumping unless you are getting something RIDICULOUSLY cool to replace it. Not just expensive, not just neat, or "top of the line" but seriously seriously COOOL to replace it. Just don't get hosed on the trade, no matter how bad the economy there always seem to be those of us that will spend money we don't have on cool shit, so before you let someone beat you up in a trade deal offer it up for sale, someone will scoop up that 94 as a host.

Best of luck with the deal, and if it goes through please let me know what it was that was worth both of those rifles so I can drool over THAT!!!
