DESTIN MOUNTS
Destin spent eight years as a Force Reconnaissance Marine where he conducted unconventional special operations, much of which was in a maritime environment. He served as a Team leader and has operated in numerous real world missions throughout the globe to include Iraq, Haiti and Panama. After leaving the U.S. Marine Corps, Destin spent three years working with DynCorp, for the Department of State, in the Worldwide Personal Protective Services Program (WPPS) in Iraq. He served as the Shift Leader for the Quick Reaction Force with over five thousand successful missions and flew as a helicopter door gunner. Upon returning home from Iraq, Destin was sought out by Exxon Mobil Regional Chief Executive Officer to provide guidance in developing a Personal Security Detail to supply protection to Exxon Mobil’s top executives. He has also provided executive protection for high profile Hollywood clients. Destin worked as the lead instructor for the Mobile Training Teams for High Desert Special Operations Center where he worked as a firearms instructor, tactical driving instructor and performed many other roles. Destin is currently working with a small unit of special operators, conducting anti-piracy operations overseas. Destin has exceeded expectations throughout his entire career in the special operations community and his knowledge and experience gives him the ability to teach our clients the intricacies of security and self-defense.

GREG LAPIN
Greg has been involved in armed protective services in high-threat environments for the past ten years. He worked as a detail member for the Department of State’s Worldwide Personal Protective Services (WPPS) in several high-threat arenas and he is a certified instructor for the WPPS program specializing in handguns, M4 platform of rifles, AK-47 platform, sub machinegun, shotgun, as well as several belt-fed machine guns. Greg worked for a government agency conducting small unit paramilitary operations, counter assault team operations and protective operations in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also served as a Police Officer for the past five years where he worked as a tactical narcotics officer and occasionally assisted SWAT in their operations. Greg is also currently working with a small unit of special operators conducting anti-piracy operations overseas. This multitude of experience, both in combat zones and on the streets of one of the country’s most dangerous cities, allows him to pass on a no-holds-barred look at what it takes to not just survive, but to win a lethal armed encounter. V.A.T.A. has numerous adjunct cadre which includes specialty instructors and assistant instructors from U.S. Army Special Forces, Marine Force Reconnaissance, Law Enforcement SWAT operators, as well as other Government and Non-government agencies. Greg also holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Rutgers University -
