Got a brand new pair of Vector X 12x42s smrs and when trying to update the firmware the update failed and now the rangefinders wont even power on. Trying to get ahold of Vectronix but the 7hr delay is hard to work with. Anyone else seen this problem?

Looking to possibly purchase a pair of these “Vectronix VECTOR X 10x42” binoculars. Was your problem resolved, and if so, how do you like using them?
Vectronix did finally tell me how to basically reboot the binos and it worked. SInce then i have had almost zero issues with the binos and love them. Glass is very good and form what i can tell my laser is almost dead nuts zeroed on my reticle.

Here is how to reboot a pair binos if ever needed:

Please do the following:
1) remove battery, wait ten seconds, App opened and ready for searching of devices (you probably won't be able to see a device at that time.
2) re-insert battery
3) press and hold the D-Pad Center button
4) press the laser button
5) release laser button, followed by the release of the center button of the D-PAD
6) a new device can now be found by the app most probably it advertises itself as AB-VECSS....
7) the app will recognise the device and restart the firmware update.
But as mentioned this just a backup plan.

Good to hear and thank you for posting the fix.

I had this same issue and solution posted above worked great.

I’ve personally had fantastic customer support from vectronix and eurooptic.

I dropped my pair on some big rocks while pulling my bino harness out at the range, chipped my glass big time, cried a little. Emailed euro optic, had a RMA & Shipping label same day. Sent them off, got tracking notification on my replacement unit the same day my old unit delivered to them. It was shipped back to me UPS 2nd day air. Brand new unit, no questions, no costs, no delays.

Phillip is very slow to respond but definitely faster than Vectronix who have yet to respond to a request from 5 months ago, I went through 3 pair to get a solid unit with no issues. The third pair has been great but were I to start back at day one I would have bought Sigs with much better CS and a far better warranty. That said my very old Terrapins just died after many years of hard use so I am hopeful for my current good set of Vectors. Europtic is very responsive and the only reason I got any service...Vectronix is the same old Vectronix as far as any issues you might have. Glass and features are excellent though but if you have any issues forget Vectronix and call Europtic.
