I have recently installed the Strelok ballistics program on my Android phone. One of the questions asked in the set up is - "How many percent bullet speed will change at change temperature on 15 degrees" Are there some rules of thumb on this issue considering most shooting done in 40- 90 degree temps? Thanks

Re: Velocity change with temperature

Best way to accurately determine that is to chrono your load at various temperatures. From that you can get an accurate change in fps per degree.

Re: Velocity change with temperature

A rule of thumb:

At 300 yards a 20 degree temp change will change the impact 1 moa

At 600 yards a 15 degree temp change will change the impact 1 moa

At 1000 yards a 10 degree temp change will change the impact 1 moa.
