velocity

Re: velocity

faster = less flight time, less drop, less wind

slower = more flight time, more drop, more wind

if you want more specific answers get a ballistic calculator and play with the velocities.

Re: velocity

A lot of bullets pushed over 3200 fps will self destruct by Centrifugal force if the twist X velocity is too fast. Rain drops and oak leaves that aren't seen before pulling the trigger will also creat havoc on them. Especially at higher velocities.

Just one thing to keep in mind. Or maybe 3 or 4. Higher velocities = more powder burning in the barrel + less load cycles on the brass + less rounds on the barrel before the throat burns out.

Good luck.
