I picked up a Molot VEPR 7.62x54R from Centerfire Systems a while back, and have only gotten it out a few times. Today I was able to spend a good deal of time at the range today with it, and while I absolutely love the rifle, I hate the trigger. I'm not sure if this is normal, but the trigger on this rifle doesn't seem to just reset; it's more like it slams back forward, sometimes thumping my trigger finger pretty hard. Maybe I'm not as tough as the Ruskies, but it's beating the crap out of my finger.
Besides that, the trigger has a long pull and it doesn't have the best feel. So I'm wondering has anyone put a different trigger in this particular platform? I'm not as proficient in the smithing dept as some of you here on the Hide, so I'm not really good at adapting parts to rifles. I've read a few threads about the Arsenal, Inc 2 stage trigger being a replacement, but they were talking about a .308 VEPR and since there are different variations, I wasn't sure if it would work with the Molot-built 54R's.
