Very minor Sales Thread rant

First of all, hope everyone is having a great day off.

This is not so much a rant as it is a call for a common curtesy.

Can members that sell an item, PLEASE, change the thread title so that it says sold?

It’s a small thing, but it would really help while searching for something specific, if the item is sold, to change the name of the listing to reflect that the item is gone so that we can simply pass over it and continue our search.

And maybe even once the item is shipped and gone and everyone’s happy with the transaction, delete the listing.?
Just a thought.

You keep the listing so we can reference sold items and see the going rate in the sales forum. But I agree with marking sold.

Ya I totally get that. I’m kind of OCD and I go through all my posts every once in a while and delete unnecessary posts.
So, if the sales thread is a year or 2 old, could it be deleted?

Actually, you'd be surprised what I end up paying for things. My wife has inflicted her asian mentality of not paying anywhere near what people want for stuff on me.

Had a construction guy who I was negotiating with about costs that I knew the actual numbers to realize he was getting nowhere with his usual bullshit spiel of trying to talk people into why shit is so expensive, with me.

He kind of gave up and was relenting.

Asked me why I'm such a pain in the ass to deal with when I actually have the money to pay for things.

I told him its because I dont give it to anyone.

It's a weird balance.

My wife wont think twice about a $2k purse she really wants.

But $6 for a soda......SIX DOLLARS?!?!?!?!!!?? No fucking way.

This is the women whose parents I once watched walk back into a live/fresh seafood store in Florida because they realized they paid for 12 shrimp and counted 11 on the way to the car.
