Very odd and a bit infuriating!

The last few days i had trouble getting on the snipershide forums using my PC, i gave up yesterday in fact, but i can go to all my other gun websites, this is with the WiFi on???

From my home network, and internet provider which is centurylink, i cannot access SH through my modem. With WiFi turned on, using any of our devices, all that comes up on the screen is "this website cannot be reached" just as if the SH was down for some reason???

With WiFi off i can get here okay, I'm using my wife's tablet right now to post.

Strange right! Why is this happening and what do i do ???

well i am a tech for them. (dont judge me). every once in a while, i get responses like you describe, but i dont have the ability to plug in via ethernet. usually, i just figure something is up with maintance, and come back later and all is good.

i never stopped to think it was anything to do with wifi versus wired. bizarre.

I've had that problem across multiple devices lately. It times out and I can't even get in. Then it's so slow sometimes I just give up and try later.

Unfortunately, with WiFi turned off on my wife's tablet, I can't get here now???

So I'm on my phone right now with WiFi turned off. I'm hardly computer savvy so I'm totally lost. I'll start by calling CenturyLink. We could use a new router and internet speed upgrade anyway.

Veer, I don't know how to do DNS settings or pretty much anything else with computers.

Having the same issue but if I go to google and then search snipers hide and select it then it will let me in. Other wise it's a no go?

Basically something changed in the DNS records unexpectedly & it takes awhile to propagate back to where it should be.

Network Solutions reset the DNS to point to them, no idea how this happened the named servers were reset to NetSol's Place Holder Page

We saw it, reset the DNS Back to here, fixed the issue

Purge your DNS records or reset your browser settings, completely !

It's been fixed and everything is running correctly

The main issues of access are guys who use old bookmarks and have not updated their stuff to HTTPS, we have a secure site and it's important to include this.

But you can do a DNS Flush it will be working for you again

No issues on my end other than sometimes the site taking a few extra seconds to load and it's probably my own fault for either having too many YouTube tabs open or downloading gigantic game files while browsing the site. Hope you guys all manage to work out your 1st world problems here.

I have the guys working on the site for the new year,

They are doing the main page stuff first, and then will move into the forum to clean up the whole place.

Easier navigation between the two parts, combined user list so you can log on either on the front page or here

Basically just a ton of work to straighten out the issues, like major, major, upgrades

Finally able to access the site after 3 days. Nothing worked until I reset my modem, then bingo, back in.

Yeah, apparently I'm more addicted to SH than I had thought, LOL, I missed coming here!

After my last post I couldn't get on with my cell either so I threw in the towel, until this morning.

Good lady that my wife is, after making coffee of course, went to check if SH was back for me.

Man, just imagine all the extra traffic the other gun sites got those few days!!!
