Vetronix Terrapin or Sig kilo 2400?

The Terrapin is a stronger laser, but more expensive, the Kilo is faster and is the better buy these days unless you're shooting like ELR distances

It comes down to distance and how precise you need to be. I went with the Leica (my choice of the two above is the Sig) due to my needs being less than 1200 yards with most shots under 800. If you are trying to show off how accurate your 375 CT is at way too far away, the choice becomes a little more obvious.

Terrapin will range what ever you need EVERY time. As said above if you shoot 1200 to 1500 the Sig should be fine. If you need longer ranges then the Terrapin just works better. I went big and got the PLRF 25c and have never regretted it. I live were I can shooting 3000 meters just a 15 min drive from my home so that influenced my choice.

I have both. Unless I am ranging difficult targets at extended range the Kilo is more than enough. Had the Kilo been out when I bought the Terrapin a few years ago I wouldn't have a Terrapin. It is a better ranger but the Kilo is faster and spot on for the vast majority of the shooting i do.

The lack of support or warranty for the Terrapin makes it a pricey buy considering it will most likely be used.

The Kilo2400 is very good, and can hold it's own, the only issue I have found is you have to figure out where in the electronic circle the laser is hitting. With the bigger aiming points and not being an etched reticle like the Terrapin, you can hold center and still miss the target. I demonstrated it in a class last week where we had a pretty easy UKD target and a bunch of lasers did not hit it. Taking one, figuring out where it is aiming will get you a better reading.

Vectronix just doesn't support their products as the price commands. That is sad because they are good

I have used my Sig Kilo standing next to my buddy using his Terapin. I was able to go target to target with him out to over 2K. Not saying the Sig is necessarily "better", it's just that I haven't seen where the price difference is worth it to ME. I normally shoot out to 1K. For that, the Sig has been spot on, and very fast. I really like it, and for the money, it's an amazing RF.. I've had the Leica 800, and the Vortex 1000. The Sig is heads and shoulders above both of those. For shooting out to about 1509, I don't believe you can go wrong.

I admit, I may be biased, as I do own one, but I wasn't biased when I was looking, and this is the one I chose.
