Anyone know how many frames per second you need to film in to get a slow mo video of brass ejecting from a rifle?

I was looking at some slo-mo video online of semi auto pistol and at 7000 frame per sec that was plenty slow to observe what is happening.
You can almost always catch the brass,
You want 240 at a minimum, the 1000x + cameras have to be rented and are super expensive with no storage, you need a crew to work them right.
But you can get normal cameras with 240, then in software slow it down a bit

The slow mo on the iPhone does a pretty decent job. Don’t know the rate though
Yep, the newer iPhones will do 1080p @ 240 fps.
Android also, just not sure which ones (since there are a metric shit-ton of Android phones around).

I’ve used the iPhone slo mo to diagnose semi-autos before. While you can’t read the case heads, you can generally see the rebound and direction changes pretty well.
