Can anyone describe Vihtavuori Tin Star powder? Is it a flake, stick, or spherical powder? I never had any experience with this powder but I'm entertaining the Idea of developing a sub load with it. Just wondering how it will perform with Laupa 200 gr. subs. Thanks

Extruded tubular as 918v said, but the kernals are very short. Goes through a meter pretty well, so no issues there. It is, as advertised, a very bulky powder. I've used it for a number of black powder cartridges (45 LC, etc.) and it works very well in that application. Delivers very high loading density compared to most other modern smokeless powders and is very clean burning. Haven't had the chance to play with it is bottlenecked cases or SS loads with suppressors just yet, but should be getting around to it very soon.
