Rifle Scopes Viper Gen II 2.5x10x32 ffp

Anybody have any experience with one of these? Thinking about one for an 18" dmr/spr. I like the reticle, my main thing is having an objective smaller than 40mm, 2.5x10 is a good mag range but a little more top end wouldnot hurt either but I can't seem to find anything above 10x with an obj. smaller than 40mm.
Are the Gen II's overall better than the original pst?

the gen2 is 2-10, the older gen1 is 2.5-10. are you looking at the 2nd gen?

I have only 1 gen2 and I've owned 3x gen1s. I think the gen2 is a step up, but I don't know that I think it's as huge of a step as others here. imo the gen1 was a great value scope, as is the gen2.

others here can chime in with objective size and the limitations that presents. I know what I see, but I don't have the technical expertise to decimate why it is that way.

I had gen1 sold it got gen 2. it's heavier but it fixed a couple issues - Gen1 illum was iffy and had the switch on ocular housing, Gen2 has better reticle and significantly better glass.

the Gen 2 is a much better scope IMO, but heavier. how much does that mean to you?..
