Any chance of some pics with the AccuShot monopod?

Any idea of timescales for the AW non-folder version? </div></div>

I just ordered the Monopod, will take pics when it arrives. Not sure exactly when the AWs will be ready.. maybe 2-3 mos.

Why wouldn't you be able to put them on your AE ?

Same skins... still a chassis under there.

Re: VIPERSKINS Pictures are here.... AICS Upgrade!

If I had an AICS stock I might get these. I wish I had more of an idea about what those stocks are improving on. I mean does it really make the rifle more consistant? A good shooter can make a factory r700 drive tacks all day long. No one has one around here that I can try out before I drop $850 for a stock. I really want one though and I'm stoked they have options.

Just where is "around here"?
You should fill out your profile. Maybe someone will offer to let you try one. The AICS is not for everyone. You are wise not to jump in.
Fortunately, they are for me. I love the AICS.
And I was just on the Victor Co website looking them over. I think I'm in for a pair.

I think the best thing about the AICS is you can swap actions without having to re-bed. ..and of course it shoots little tiny bugholes.

Sorry I'm a newbie to this sight as you can probably see. Around here is Farmington NM. My original plan was to put a DBM on my rifle as well as pillar bedding but why keep the factory stock if I'm going to go that far? Im just going to sack up and get the AICS

I'm not saying I can! What I am saying is if I put my rifle in the hands of a trained USMC sniper his shooting would make mine look silly. There is no such thing as "wasting money" on guns.

Re: VIPERSKINS Pictures are here.... AICS Upgrade!

Factory r700 cannot be relied on to shoot bug holes in anyone's hands-snipers are trained to hit targets not shoot bug holes any better than any serious target shooter. And yes there is money wasted on guns that don't shoot accurately-that to me is waste of money
I can see some viper skins coming my way soon

You, sir, are a smart one!
Though not directed at me here, I must say I use R700 quite a bit. The reason is I just don't like to put the name of the "R" out there. Yes, I have a few rifles with R700 actions and they (after much work by my gunsmith) work well. And, BTW, I bought most of them used. I have had such poor luck with factory new "Big Green" products over the last year or two that I just don't want to promote them.

Ha ha! We all know accuracy is subjective to the shooter! What's good for you may not be good to me. That's why they make so many options. I didn't mean to start any arguments. All I was trying to do was get some opinions on the AICS in reguards to upgrading an already solid shooting rifle. Sure there are better rifles but a 700 is what I have so I'm going to make the best out of it and stand beside my choices.

Re: VIPERSKINS Pictures are here.... AICS Upgrade!

You'd be fine wih an AICS... as was stated, there is kind of a love/hate relationship with them. Some people (myself included) love them, some don't like the feel. Most of the objection has been to the thumbhole, these skins fix that.

The good things are that no bedding is required nor is bottom metal as it is built in.

If you don't like it, you can sell it rather easily.

Check out www.milehighshooting.com and make sure to call in the order as I believe they give a 5% discount to Hide members.

I like the AICS stock , durable functions well and looks pretty cool -nothing wrong with looking good either !

Viper skins will be a good asthetical enhancement but I will wait to see how it rides a bag in comparison to the AICS .
Now as far as subjective accuracy goes that is down to stock fit and trigger feel for most -the barrel if it is average will only ever shoot average doesnt matter who is behind it and a factory rem 700 cannot be relied on to give consistant accuracy , but enjoy yours whislt you have as it may be a good one !
