Virginia House Committee Pass more Laws

Red Flag House version passed. Also passed giving localities the right to make their own firearm laws and allows localities the right to sue manufacturers and gun dealers over gun violence. But does not allow localities to ignore state laws. That came up as to whether "sanctuary" localities could pass less restrictive ordinances. The answer is no.

It doesn't look good for any compromises when HB 961 AW ban bill comes up. They don't have a set order to consider each bill. They could wait until last day to push it out of committee if they want to.

Read somewhere that VCDL was not talking about legal strategies. Looks like where all this will be headed.

This needs to be put on full on blast to the public so they can see how big of hypocrites these politicians are, and expose the fact that they actually don't care to do anything about actual gun crime.

Whether the public is or isn't dense enough to understand the ramifications of this is one thing, but damn do we need to try to expose it.

Actually reducing crime would undermine their momentum to decimate the 2A, it's not what Bloomberg wants.
This is his play book almost identical to what happened in Maryland last year (except for the republican Governor here).
Bloomberg met with MD legislators a week or 2 before lobby day and gave them the play book.

In similar fashion to the above, all proposed legislation increasing penalties for actual criminals failed, however if you'd never had a speeding ticket and were legislated a felon via new gun laws, violations all carried 5 year mandatory minimums:mad:

The other thing you can expect is for them to delay hearing on HB 961 (the worst) till the wee hours when most have gone home.

In Maryland last year it was the outright ban of all AR-15 platform rifles (hearing pushed till 3:00 am and time allotted for speakers reduced from 3 min to 1). Mom's were mostly gone, but we stayed!

It's pure corruption of politics, by power and money.

These politicians have completely forgotten who they work for, and it's utter bullshit.

If I'm reading this right, the bills involving an actual criminal act don't pass but the ones that criminalize constitutionally protected rights do?
Yep, yep that sounds about normal for them. Gun control is only enacted to protect criminals from their victims.

they're not even throwing us a bone. an all-out anti-2a assault.

and the funny/sad thing is all the dems trying to impeach trump are talking about how sacrosanct our Constitution is... all of it i guess except for that apparently silly & outdated 2a part.

What a fucking farce.
Was afraid this would be the direction.
Looking now this entire game was played to get a big reaction/protest to be set up for a
slap down to demoralize any further ideas of standing up.
The above is a fortune of about how any challenge carried to the VA SC is going to go.

Might backfire on them and end up with single person protests with people that aren’t concerned with optics or being “peacable”

Compromise is why WE are losing our RIGHTS. There is NO comprises, its the left taking and the right taking or doing nothing to stop it. Why in the fuck would they stop cause “peaceful protest”? Electing isn’t working either. Its constantly been “lesser if two evils” for longer than ive been alive. We brag on how clean we are after a protest and how civil we are. Thats the problem, civil people rarely get their way.

They even have a bill with penalties for threatening or harassing the governor online in the works. HB 1627

next time vote vote vote

I doubt Voting will work! They thought of that too!
Bloomberg schooled them, He's fucking dangerous & don't rule him out @ good chance for Dem DUM nomination.

Bill SJ-16 would increase gubernatorial term limits from 4 to 8
SB-65 removes photo ID requirement for voting.
SB-399 awards all VA's electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote.
SJ-29 Allows the governor to be elected by a majority vote in the districts rather then a state wide majority.
SJ-14 & 8 restore voting rights to felons and mentally handicapped.

If that shit passes you can forget voting these bums out............ever!

Well I live AZ so the legislators in VA can EAT MY ASS!

Unfortunately, they will pass everyone one of these laws that they have proposed. At this time I dont know what plan B is, but there needs to be one getting started.

Is this like Obamacare? It’s wrong, everyone knows it’s wrong but they will go along with it because they are forced to. Maybe years later the courts will overturn it and no one will be compensated?

Or will this be like prohibition?
