I mean I'm just some guy in the internet, so I don't know a whole lot, but I know that ain't a Remington Rand.

Yeah the son in law is not the owner.......the owner knows his stuff sort of.

All the old stuff he has a good history on. He ran in teh circles with Bill Brophy and bought the remainder of all Brophys stuff. There are boxes of parts aying around Brophy had made for various repros.

    Place actually looked "depleted" today.

When the owner goes, and he has ill health, it will be the loss of a true "honey hole".

What caliber is that Winslow? Very cool stock...

I didnt even check. Barrel was a pencil. If I was interested in buying it whatever barrel was already on it was going for rebar in someones patio.

The McMillan is awesome. Its got a cut for the receiver sight on the left side. Otherwise would make a nice Carlos Hathcock tribute M70

I have a 30-06 target rifle that would be about perfect in that stock.... not sure what the heck I'd do with a Winslow barreled action though? : )

Can't see inspection stamp on the side of the serial number

Ooof. Might still be a cool shooter if the price is right

Its a neat pistol....looks like some small parts had been replaced the wear doesnt seem to match.

I was liking the trap door carbine but carbine are humped all the time, rifle cut downs...dont know if that one is or is not.

Ha da good bit of rust/dust on it. The wood looks like it might be stunning when cleaned up.

This inspired me to go check in with the local shops around here. Got nothin. Running 6 months late on a 15 month 1911 build. These days I get it, but I’m getting itchy, gotta buy a gun. That place looks pretty cool.

The slide stop, hammer, and safeties look replaced IMO, or at least refinished. BUT they also look correct for a pre-A1 pistol, so maybe not? My A1 has some small parts that appear to be pre-A1 that I think were put on it during an arsenal rework and they likewise have different wear (and a noticeably different finish on them in the right light) versus the parked frame.

Easier to see some differences in them. Mine and that shop pistol look so much alike on those blue parts, that I know the history on.

The McLaine picture pistol looks to me to have original parts. Was funny how those parts kept the blue and the rest of the pistol didn't.

    Some children...

Pics posted for educational purpose to show parts similarity and finishes. Last pic to show parts contrasts.
    Best to yall.

My pre A1 has different color shade variations as well. It’s is an Augusta Arsenal rebuild as well

Here's mine. Not the best photo but you can see how the slide stop and safety are a different color from the frame.

Edit: It's a '43 Ithaca, for those wondering. I believe the slide stop, grip safety, and thumb safety to be pre-A1. The hammer APPEARS to be a trimmed-down pre-A1. Obviously the slide is a Colt Gov't Model. FJA inspection mark is just visible in the photo below the slide stop.

Really nice pre 1913 ish pistol. Augusta replaced the hammer, safety, and slide release with a1 parts.
    Really Really nice pistol.
Thanks. Bought that from an older gentleman when I lived in texas. We talked a lot at shows and I bought several pieces from him. He was at the end of his road and would sell stuff to people he liked(could demonstrate some knowledge about his old stuff) at the shows. I miss talking to that old man for sure
