so i keep reading that vlds are tricky to zero in. how tricky are we talkin here? and what kind of a drop in moa can you expect to believably get? and also can they be tuned to any rifle or are they kind of finnicky?

They're not all that finicky as long as the barrel twist is fast enough but they're not the end all in accuracy either. I use them in a couple of cartridges because they're marketed for hunting but I could probably, and have, gotten just as good target results with offerings from Sierra and Nosler.
