VLTOR (not clubfoot)vs. CTR..smaller? better????? is the VLTOR smaller than the CTR and if so, how much smaller / shorter is it? which is better? pictures side by side anyone????

Vltor feels better with the battery tubes installed - much more comfy cheek weld.

CTR has a contoured rubber padded butt that feels better on your shoulder.

The hard-edged flat butt of the regular Vltor modstock is a killer for me - it just bothers my shoulder. To fix it you gotta add an ugly old slipover rubber pad.

CTR looks better in my opinion, and the better buttpad/shape combined with a cheekweld that is good enough leaves me a fan of the CTR over the Vltor modstock.

NOW, if you want looks AND comfort, get a Vltor EMOD! The best collapsable stock for the money, as far as I'm concerned.

For the light, small, fast rifles, the CTR is hard to beat. EMOD if you don't mind a little bulkier look and feel - it has a very comfortable and grippy buttpad and cheekweld.

My 2 cents!

I agree with everything chainring posted. For a smaller light weight gun, especially an SBR, I really like the CTR. For a mid sized gun (like an RECCE/SPR type), the EMOD is awesome. Also, check out the SOPMOD, made by KAC, marketed by LMT.

As for the standard VLTOR modstock, I agree the lack of a pad kills it for me. But, this pic was posted from SHOT (I have no info on the stock, just saw the pic):
