Suppressors volquartsen 22 lr

I am wondering if anyone uses a volquartsen stainless barrel as a host for a 22 lr and how they work for them groups etc?? I bought a volquartsen carbon fiber barrel and it shoots fine without my spectre II ( it is not the can I use it on several other firearms one I will produce .25 groups at 50 yrds very consistently) on it but shoots about 5.75 inch groups with it on? this is after I sent it back to them once and they replaced the endcap and then had me put some foam under the forend to put pressure on the barrel. They told me to send it back and they would replace the end cap again and if that doesn't cure the problem they would replace the barrel.

i saw this thread and thought "i know we've talked about tensioned barrels and cans lately". sure enough i went and searched and it was your thread from last year.

Sucks you're still dealing with this but i think the remedy is for you to sell your VQ barrel to someone who isnt going to shoot it suppressed, and buy a non-tensioned threaded barrel.

Kidd Barrels (although someone is having threading problems with Kidd and a TBAC)

all come to mind as better options than chasing a problem with that barrel you are using. This is just what i would do. Sometimes you gotta move on to another manufacturer.

Yeah I hear ya!! guessing would have very few takers for a threaded barrel that wont shoot with something screwed on the threads. sounds like if they don't get it right this time when they replace it it wouldn't have to be another carbon barrel possibly a stainless bull. which would be non tensioned. guess there is a reason there aren't very many companys that put threads on the end of carbon barrels. Least they are trying to make the problem "right"
