VORN hunting pack

I’ve hunted with many types of packs (eberlestock, badlands , mystery ranch, Cabela’s, etc) and the Vorn. That being said if you want your gun secured and quick access non can come close to the Vorn. Gun is really secured well and comes out almost instantly. Drawback is that most of the others allow for better packing out of an animal. Obviously depends on what your packing out but I’ve had a good load in the Vorn and it’s Ok. Frame packs are obviously better for more load but gun access is limited.
Used the Vorn on a couple of cold weather steep mountain lion hunts and was very satisfied. It is a bit heavy but balanced out pretty well.
FWIW I have been packing my DT Covert around in an Eberlestock this year so light and fast is all relative just depends on how far and high you have to go.
Lots of good used packs out there for sale.
When you get it narrowed down let me know. I probably have something that may interest you.

So I will only need it to hunt 8-12k elevation. I will be backing out an elk and maybe go to Alaska. I really want the fast ability to retrieve the rifle. I will be hunting with multiple people that can help with the packing out. I will have a bipod attached to it. So I need it exposed.

I really don't see a Vorn hauling heavy loads very comfortably. Will it giver you fast access...absolutely. I really like Vorn for short trips and hunting locally but I'd keep looking if your going to pack elk quarters. You'll want something bigger for Alaska as well. Just my experience.

Vorn is great for packing a gun, there is no equal. That being said there is not a ton of storage (which in some ways is good) and it probably won't be very useful in packing out an animal. I didn't buy it for the quick draw as I do mostly spot and stalk. I bought it to carry guns.
