Rifle Scopes Vortex Crossfire

Hey guys. I am really interested in this particular scope. I have read some reviews by customers online, and they all seem to be pretty good. However, I really don't know how much experience these people have. I could really use some comments and/or reviews. What do you think?...

SWFA offers this same scope for $99.00 and is a SH supporter.

They are out of stock at the moment, but it is a great deal for the cash. Don't expect the moon and you will be most happy. It is a solid scope.

SWFA doesn't offer that scope for $99. They do offer the 1" tube though.

I have the 1 inch $99 model from SWFA. Sharpness is very good, though contrast is pretty bad throughout the whole zoom range. Turrets feel very good, nice solid clicks, and they seem accurate though I haven't done a box test. Plus you get the Vortex warranty - absolutely no BS if anything should go wrong.

I would talk to Doug at camerlandny.com. He probably can get you the best price on the 30mm model. SWFA does have price match if you want to play that game. I have had the 1" model and it was pretty good. If i were to purchase another it would be the 30mm for the extra elevation and definately buy it from cameralandny.com.

I've read on here and on opticstalk that guys have claimed to shoot out to 1000yds with these scopes. All reviews that I have read were good. I'm sure there have been some issues with these scopes, but all scopes are gonna have some issues. I'm planning on picking one up for my 10/22 sometime, but just don't need it at the moment. I have a Viper scope and it's a good scope for the money, so I'd say go for it. I think the going price is about $200 for the 30mm. I have not looked through one, but the Viper has good glass(for the money) and the warranty is second to none in my opinion. Depending on your use, I think it would make a good, low cost scope.
