Had a chance this weekend to take my rifle/scope combo out to 700 yds. I’m usually limited to 300yds. We worked out dope all the way to 700yds. I’m using a Vortex viper pst 4-16x50 ffp. 12moa is one full revolution. On zero the line on the turret lines up perfectly. Once I get out to 700 I’m dialing up to 17.5 moa. So roughly a full revolution and a half. The lines on the turret do not line up with notch in the housing. So my scope shows kinda “in between” 17.5 and 17.75. Is this common for others? I dialed back down to zero just to make sure something hadn’t slipped. It’s still perfect at zero and up through the first full revolution. Doesn’t start to get offline until after 600 yds. Any ideas besides buying a higher end scope?

    Yes, it is fairly common.
Even more expensive scopes can have this issue, but it is not normally seen on top tier scopes.
One of the things you pay for in top tier scopes is tight machining tolerances. That costs money.

No, it is not common. Dial it all the way up and down and then back to your 700 yards setting. If it doesn't line back up send it back under warranty.
