I saw in another thread that Vortex has released a new Mil eyepiece for the 85mm spotter. Does anyone know what the focal length is for that spotting scope? I'm wondering if I can make up an adapter for that eyepiece to fit the Pentax PF-80ED, which uses 1.25" astronomical type eyepieces. Should be able to spin up an adapter for the Vortex eyepiece, presuming the focal length is a close enough match to keep the subtensions usable. The Pentax is 1000m, but I can't find any docs on the Vortex that state the focal length.

The OD of that eyeiece @ the base of the bayonet lugs is likely significantly larger than 1.25"

The old razor gen 1 and Burris mil eyepieces had barrel diameters around 1-3/8" if I remember correctly.

Perhaps someone who owns one could measure the barrel diameter for you..

I had the same idea about modifying a Burris or vortex eyepiece to fit Kowa. I acquired and modeled a Burris eyepiece in CAD. In the end, it wouldn't work. The inside diameter of the Burris eyepiece was bigger than the OD of Kowa eyepieces.
