Rifle Scopes Vortex PST GII 2.5-10x32

Has anyone actually weighed one of these? The advertised weight of 26.3oz seems rather high for the size of the scope, is it actually correct?

Have not weighed one, but I would not be the first to note that Vortex tends toward a solid build. Perhaps it's that lifetime warranty thing. If you are going to have to fix it no matter how it got broke, you are gonna design it with a bit more heft.

My 5-25 PST Gen2 is a heafty lump so I'd believe it.

They must make the internals put of depleted uranium as I see no other easy way to pack it that much extra weight.

I remember being surprised to read that the Gen 2 was so heavy. I have a Gen 1 and it is much lighter, around 19oz.
