Rifle Scopes Vortex PST vs Mk 4

Re: Vortex PST vs Mk 4

I can't wait to hear what you decide, I'm trying to make the exact same decision. I was really leaning toward a 4-16 PST, yet I've always been diehard Leupold. I like the clicks A LOT more and the glass looks brighter to me. Along with putting the difference in money toward something else I need, it makes the PST look like the winner. My issue is, I don't feel like the PST has been "proven" yet. They're obviously pretty badass, but I'm not seeing them on LE sniper rifles yet. I've used three different Leupolds (VX-III, the "old school" Mark IV, and Mark IV FFP M5 TMR) since I became a sniper in 2006. I never had a problem with any of them. I'm afraid of switching to something with better features and having my first optic problem. I do think the odds of that happening are pretty slim though. I'm sure they're as rugged as the VX III I had my first couple years so I'm probably being a little too dramatic about it all (I tend to do that with sniper shit). I'm still leaning toward the PST until I can afford to move up to NF, USO, S&B, etc. Please keep the posts going til he makes his decision, I'm loving the info.
