I bought my first ffp scope in late 2013, after screwing around during PRS-type with a few of the sfp scopes I'd owned for years. It hadn't taken long to realize that a ffp scope would be a lot less hassle when shooting movers & using the reticle for ranging, but it took longer to decide which scope to buy. However, once I got used to mil vs moa, and how much it helped being able to use the reticle for making corrections (when I could see the impact of my misses), I started buying nothing but ffp scopes, and now have more of them than sfp optics. It only takes a few shots with one of the few remaining sfp scopes to remind me why I switched, and how much better off I am with ffp optics. That, and the memory of losing track of my 100yd zero on a couple of scopes w/o zero stops, and I seriously doubt I'll ever buy another sfp scope.
