Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor gen 2 vs Zero Compromise

I've had the pleasure of looking through Kahles, SB PMII, countless nightforces, and vortex razors in my search to upgrade from a gen 1 razor.

I will admit the PMII had better color/sharpness than most of the other scopes, but other than that I was dead set on a Razor with the EBR-7C reticle.

Until I saw the Zero Compromise MPCT2 reticle.

So for the guys with experience with both, is there a major difference in glass quality, and how is the eyebox at mid magnification?

IMO... They are not even in the same league. I really can't say enough of how damn good the ZCO is.... especially at mid-mag. The differences really become noticeable with less than ideal conditions like lowlight. But take this opinion from a guy that sold his Gen 2 Razor 4.5-27 to get another ATACR, who is now selling his ATACR to fund another ZCO.

For the money? Razor all day.

There is no other scope that compares to a Gen II for the price. If you have more money then get whatever you want.

Seems like a weird comparison, Razor is $1900, ZCO is $3600. No offense but ZCO should be better by far. I have a RazorII and love it, but it’s not a ZCO.

If you don't already have a backup rifle/trainer, ample reloading components, spare scope, and match fees for the year then stick with the razor and put your money toward the more important things I just mentioned. Once you've gotten to the point you don't know what else to spend your money on upgrade to the highest end things like Schmidt, ZCO, TT etc.

Both are great. The HD2 is probably more bang for your buck. But the ZCO is gonna be higher quality and features. But if you can afford either. Just buy what you want. Because that’s what’s gonna make you happy and that’s what matters.

Moore's Law at work here. Moore's Law is a computing term which originated around 1970; the simplified version of this law states that processor speeds, or overall processing power for computers will double every two years. ZCO is double the Razor Gen2, only you can decide how much you are willing to spend $'s? Not an expert in optic but looking at raw numbers.

The zco is in another tier than the gen2 razor. With that said, if there is any sort of budget at all to consider, you can not beat the razor gen2. The zco is baller status as fuuuuucckkkk.. But you pay twice as much. Under no circumstances will you not be able to hit a target due to the razor. If u cant hit said target with the razor, you're going to miss it with the zco or even a TT.

I am into the buy once, cry once mindset, but I'd rather spend more of my cash on bullets, powder, classes, ect.
I was honestly looking to justify the price of the ZCo, but until I can justify my skills match, I'll stick with the bare essentials.
