Looking for a scope for my Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308. This rifle will be for shooting steel out to 1K and some precision rifle courses. Looking for a MIL/MIL setup in the $1500-$2000 range. The Vortex Razor HD has caught my eye and seems to have a lot of nice features. I like nightforce a lot but first focal plane models are probably a tad out of my price range. First focal is not absolutely necessary but would be nice. Anyone have any experience with the vortex? Anything else i should be looking at in this price range with these specs. Thanks for the feedback.

check out bushnell elite tactical and swfa. some Valdada IOR also meet the price range, people who familar with IOR could chip in.
also new line of Razor came out so look out for used Razor gen1, could have some sweet deal there.

Razor 5-20 is a very good scope in that price range and as you stated has a lot of good features from reticles to zero stop and even the clickless zeroing which I really like. Being able to get a perfect zero is a very nice option to have. Give Scott at Liberty Optics a call and tell him you are a Hide member and see what he can do for price. Also Mike at CS Tactical will help you out.

Another vote for the SWFA SS 5-20. I'm a huge fan of them. I have used the Razor and they are good scopes and built well, but I had one complaint with the scope that I couldn't look past (literally and figuratively). I've had the SS 5-20 since and have been very pleased all around.
