Vortex tripod

I am looking for a bench sized tripod for the new spotting scope I have coming. Any body have any experience with the Vortex shooting stand. It is the small benchtop tripod they make. Thanks

I have one and I honestly wouldn't buy it again. I have 2 Razor scopes and a Razor Spotting scope so I'm a big fan of Vortex but this stand is soooo cheap. My biggest complaint is that because the head is adjustable up and down it actually wobbles side to side with no way to tighten it up. So if you get it setup on your target and a big wind comes along, it will knock it off the target. I contacted Vortex about it and they said, "what do you expect for $40".

I second looking at PRS. Their rest and mini tripod combo are great for bench shooting.

Depending on your budget, the PRS tripod is one of the best for the money. For bench shooting I'd suggest the small tripod that they offer.
