Well I jumped into this Tripod before doing a lot of research. Just got the glass and wanted a good tripod and went with this one because of Vortex reputation. Don't get me wrong it's a solid piece but a tank. I first ordered the Summit SS but saw it was only rated to carry 5lbs and read that for a 85mm scope it was very unstable. Any recommendations on something more lightweight and sturdy for a Vortex 27-60x85? Gonna get used for precision shooting and possible some hunting. This one maybe a very good one, I really don't know, I haven't ever bought a tripod. Thanks for any info.
