Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50

Hey guys I am new to the forum and I am working on my custom Remington 700 and looking at optics.I mainly deer hunt but want to gain some confidence up to 400 yards.So I have been checking out the vortex viper hs and dont know much about them other then reading on the forums.So would this be a good purchase or should I consider another brand?I am open for suggestions so please feel free to help me out but I don't want to drop more then 700-800 dollars.

in your price range the viper hs or the sfp pst will work great
