Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper HST 4-16 x 50 or Burris Veracity 2-10 x 42 M.A.D.

I'd start by saying you're comparing a 4-16 with a 2-10, and a FFP with a RFP. Those are much bigger issues than opinions in clarity.

Repeatability suggests you're dialing in the knobs? BirdDog is correct int hat the XTR and Veracity use the same mechanisms and much of the same glass. The Veracity has a smaller outer tube, which will limit the total adjustment range. If you're really pushing distances, you may want to consider the XTR.

And you might want to compare the Veracity 3-15 to the 4-16. Seems more apples-to-apples. Personally, I really like the 2-10x Veracity. I think it's a great compromise between weight, size, and usability for virtually every situation. Although I don't really hunt at long distances, and I don't try to make it do double duty for long range target - your situation may be different.

Thanks for considering our scopes! We appreciate it.
