How do these things stand up to abuse. I am intrigued by the features and optical quality at that price point. Not sure about the long term durability though. Looking to mount it on my .308 AR for all around use.
Unless you're jumping out of a helicopter with it anytime soon, I don't think you have to worry. My PST has been holding up great with no issues. If somewhere down the road something happens, I know Vortex will take care of me.
I used one on a DPMS LR-308 for about 6 months and it worked great. The scope tracked spot on the reticle is very well laid out and the glass for the price is really nice.
Another question, as I haven`t had a chance to handle one in person (all local dealers don`t have it in stock):
The turrets on this scope, do they lock in place at all. I know they have a zero stop feature that you have to shim, or something, but I`m not exactly sure how that works. If somebody could explain this, I would greatly appreciate it.
From my experience with them, I'd recommend one for sure. I've been looking for a used one but they don't seem to be around yet.
Can't beat it and 1/2 cost of an nxs
I had one I just sold with an ar10 rifle.I thought it was a fantastic scope for the money. When the reticle was lit up it was very sharp and clear which impressed me alot compared to others I have seen.

Dark,
It is model # Vortex Optics ADR Cantilever Mounts VX-MT-ADRCM-ADR-X-30
I have one on my 270 wsm tikka t3. The glass is decent, not great, but the features are the value. For the price, you cannot go wrong, the turrets are top drawer. I am trying to find 1 right now for my 300 win mag x bolt.
I will be shooting at paper anywhere from 100-200 yards, mostly 100 yards. Since thats the closest shooting range to me. Unless I drive a hour away to get to a 200 yard range.
Will this work ok on my Scar 17s or is it to big? I also plan on wanting to mount a Trijicon RMR at the one clock position off the Scope Mount for anything close up.
I can get the scope, Larue mount, Trijicon RMR and the Larue mount for the RMR for 1500.00. Or should I just buy the NF 2 x 10 x 32 instead?
Any help would be great. Trying to spend my money the right way.
