ive been trying to find reviews on this scope. last i read, the knobs were too loose, vortex stopped shipping until "it was fixed" and ppl could send theirs in to be fixed at no cost. whats the word now? seems like this scope is for me, i already have their dback binos and the glass is more than clear enough for my liking.

We are all still waiting some more patiently then others, last I heard around the end of september, thats for pre-paid scopes, I have had mine on order since april and am one of the patient ones, dont really care when it gets here as long as its right, I just ordered a pair of vortex fury binos and hope the glass is clear, snds like it will be :)

I wanted to get one (wanted to cheap out and not buy yet another NXS) but then saw the black doughnut and decided to stick with the NXS. The problems people have been having and the lead time worry me too.

Talked to Scott at Liberty a couple days ago and there is a thread about this as well. Looks like it's gonna be in late December at least probably beginning of the year. I pre ordered one in 6-24x50 ffp and am considering pre ordering another. I'm not worried about the lead time too much if you read the thread on it you can see that they are taking all steps necessary to make sure these are done right so I will wait as long as I need to and know that the wait is worth it. I'd recommend calling Scott at Liberty if your going to order he can give you one hell of a deal just tell him your a hide member

Most, if not all who actually got one really like it.

There were a couple iffy reports when they first came out. One review that was well done and was admittedly very critical was perhaps overreacted to. With the help of some negative input from some that didn't even have one the 'issues' kind of took on a life of their own.

I have one and cannot accidentally move the turrets unless I use the heel of my hand and start pushing my rifle off it's bi-pod, which I think is pretty deliberate.

IMO the turrets are perfectly useful. I don't need to make myself feel better by the exact way my turrets feel.
I am more concerned with the report (the critical one) that the reticle is canted and that the click value is off by a couple percent. Even this is not much of an issue in actual use unless holding over at extended ranges. This reviewer added that he got these same results with other bigger name scopes he had tested as well. It seems we really don't want to go there though.

Whether the issues were more myth or fact Vortex chose to err on the side of the 'perception is all that matters' point of view and we will all likely benefit from it eventually.
