Seeing how the new Vortex Viper PST has not been offered for sale yet (scheduled release date when last heard was mid-June) it would be tough for anyone to offer an honest opinion yet
Now if you look at them from a hypothetical point of view, I think the Viper PST is all that and a baf of chips, but we will have to wait and see

I had not heard much about Vortex until about 6 months ago myself. everything i have heard about them so far has been outstanding. they seem to be a company that knows what they are doing and is here for the long haul. i plan to buy a scope from them in the future.

I'm a curemudeonly Toyota guy: stick with tried and true. But I've heard this damned Vortex stuff so many times now I'm gonna have to visit their website.

The Viper has been used by some. Yes the Vortex is a very nice scope but like has been mentioned, not available just yet. The Vortex has just about everything on it that's better than the MK4. I would like to see a little beeffier zero stop but hey they are trying to hit a certain price point
maybe in the not too distant future we will see a PST with a zerostop
If you need a scope RIGHT NOW, go with bushnell then sell it for close to what you paid and buy the PST. If not, wait a little while and order a PST from Scott at Liberty Optics.
