Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-2C vs Ares ETR 4.5-30 APRS1

I think you meant -2C vs -7C. The comparisons are right there in the reticle diagrams. I like the illumination pattern better in the 7C, but really I just prefer the center dot. I don't really use the illumination pattern change since it's mostly down in the windage bars of the tree, which almost never get used.

Considering they are the same scope with the 2C in both they are the same. LOL ;) Might want to edit that.

The 2C has the small open center and the 7C has more marks on the horizontal main line and the small dot. Both work well. I use and have both reticles in scopes. Comes down to personal preference.

If the PST G2 glass is the same as the Strike Eagle 5-25x56 EBR-7C, then you will like it. I have the SE, and am really impressed with it compared to my Viper HS-T 6-24x50 scopes. It's absolute night & day difference. The HS-T is a great scope, but that SE has it beat in just about every way, IMO. If I had the cash, I would sell all my HS-T's and replace them with the SE 5-25x56 EBR-7C and Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24x50 VPR scopes.

Another option that the glass is equal to (through my eyes) is the Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24x50 VPR. I'd take a look at those, as well.

Well now it's a completely different question than originally. LOL

Haven't used that Athlon so can't help but I can say the PST Gen II glass is a little better than the Strike Eagle to add to the post above.
