I just picked up a new viper pst and savage 110fcp in .300wm. Im having problems with the battery popping up off of the contact points and turning the reticle off every time i shoot the gun. Is there anyway to fix this from happening.
Pull the battery out. Align the battery and press it back in firmly. I had a similar issue and this simple trick resolved the problem. The battery wasn't pressed in firmly initially.
What fuc$!ing difference does that make? You pay $900 dollars for something, should it not work right?<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: fdkay</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Do you shoot in the dark alot?</div></div>

I had the same problem. When I got the scope I didn't realize the battery was already installed. Took off the cover and until I got the battery in correctly the cover kept popping off.
I have the same problem with mine. I've been meaning to contact Vortex about it too, but never have. I just put a shim between the battery and the cover. I have not had any issues with it since. The illumination sure came in handy when I took a deer right at dark a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks everyone for the help. I got it fixed i pulled the battery out and bent the little fingers in slightly I also don't think i was getting the battery cap on all the way screwed in. It was getting tight because of the o-ring has a tight fit to it. i took a quarter and tightened it probably a good 6 to 7 more turns.
