i have a winchester model 70 IN 270 WSM i just bought. i want to fix it up a bit. what do yall recomend? stock, barrel. i need help. didnt see much available for it. and if anyone has any parts for sale let me know also. thanks guys.

I have 2 Winchesters that have each been customized to some degree. One question is what are you looking to do with it? Do you think you'll go for a hunting or tactical build? There are lots of options as far as stocks go and barrels aren't an issue as they all look the same before threading and chambering. You even have the option to change caliber to another WSM if you desire. The 300 and 7MM have some advantages over the .270-depending upon who you ask

There is a decent market for after-market parts for Winchesters. Both Manners and McMillian inlet for Winchesters. Scope bases are a little more difficult but they can be found, EGW makes a good one. Barrel come easy, any good smith can thread and fit up a barrel for you. When it comes to trigger there is no reason. The factory triggers are GTG.
