I've got this on my 8" and it's still easy to shoot and legal. Great for the truck.
If you're on your property then do as you see for to be right with the Lord, but keeping a pistol buffer around for public outings is probably smart.
I also have 2 pin / welded 13.9s that are fantastic and really all I need. Still maneuverable enough for me, but the 8" is great for backpack and vehicle use.
