Lowlight,
I apologize if this is political.
I am tired of our rights being taken away. We need to stand up.

Do not support gun legislation that does nothing to reduce gun violence and crime.

This is the message that I posted here.

What happened in Connecticut is very sad, and they need our support, but pointing directly at firearms is not the answer. Connecting the two things together at all is wrong, this sends the message that firearms commit these crimes. If there were more responsible owners with firearms, and there were not laws stopping responsible owners from having their firearms available to them, this event could have been avoided. This type of message that you are sending comes down to holding law abiding citizens accountable for the actions of someone who does not obey the law. Taking rights away from responsible firearms owners does not reduce violence and crime. I believe the events of the Connecticut tragedy were an act of terror, taking away the rights of law abiding, responsible citizens is giving in to that terror. Look at the real issues of what happened in Connecticut, find a solution to the real problems. Show your respect and support to the families that were involved in this tragedy and don’t point to guns as the problem.
