I've got no problem killin' al-Qaida affiliated people in mud huts. They may not have the resources to attack us, but they murder anyone in their path (tons of Christians) who doesn't believe exactly as they do, and I'm perfectly happy supporting those stopping them from murdering Christians and stealing our air.

It ain't all sunshine and rainbows is the quote IIRC. There are an extraordinarily large number of countries where one group of people believe it okay to rape, plunder, and kill another group for sport... the more heinous the fashion in which those acts are committed, the better.
So where do we intervene? If I were smart enough to construct a perfect opinion/plan on that, I'd run for office. At this point, you can't avoid it and be an ostrich with your head in the sand. It is far, far too gone for that. Those groups will find a way to hurt you... even if it means secondary mass immigration, economic collapse, and civil unrest in this country. Europe's violent crime rate among immigrants is a pretty good starting point for a baseline.

Before the modern era along with subsequent foreign aid...food and water were their limiting factors. I often wonder how much better we might have been to let them starve down/out decades ago. Yes, millions more would have died, and Sally Struthers wouldn't have been able to cry on late night TV commercials. But all we did was 1) Kick the can, because when it eventually turns into mass starvation (and it will) the number dying will be tenfold. And 2) We increased the army of locusts that are going to be seeking refuge in your hometown.

So we can either continue to let the most vile of the depraved grow without doing anything. The INA of '65 switched our system from merit based immigration from mostly European nations, to chain migration from third world places like Latin America, Africa, Asia, Middle East, etc. Prior to the INA of '65, America was about 80 percent non-Hispanic Caucasian, and after we're about 60 percent.
Keep in mind that Caucasians are only about 7-14 percent of the global population; It varies because of no one universal definition of "Caucasian".
