Anyone have a super high speed way of doing this? I am not able to do weak hand double feed (failure to extract) drills with my weak hand.

Should I focus on striping the mag out without the slide locked back?

Again this is with sig style pistols (220, 226)

Re: Weak hand Double Feed (Sig)

Has your Sig jammed?
I'm assuming you're right handed...
When you say 'weak hand', are you implying that you're only using one hand to clear it, or you're using both?

If you're using one hand, I'd snag the slide to the rear on my pants or boot or something, then drop the magazine and reassess.

If you're using both hands, try pulling the slide to the rear with your strong hand, working the slide catch with your pinky or ring finger of the strong hand, then yank out the magazine.

In my limited experience with a double feed, the round being stripped form the magazine doesnt make it out of the magazine very far, making it diffiult to yank the magazine out. I've rigged it up a few times in my P239 and found that it's MUCH easier and reliable if you get the slide back first.

I'd be curious to know any other ways, if somebody has anything.

one hand, left handed. I can do it with the gun between my legs muzzle pointed down to the ground, I have a light mounted which makes it easier. It is hard to lock the slide to the rear with just the left hand.

Re: Weak hand Double Feed (Sig)

On my P239, I can hit the slide catch by sliding my hand up and hitting it with the first index finger joint. I know the P226 is a bit different..

Eh, I don't know. I'd really like to hear what others have to say, though.
