Has anyone recently seen these for sale? The best I can find is one place with back order for 4-5 weeks.

I'm looking to buy one to start out for the time being and want to wait to see Revic's release before purchasing that or a 5700.

Thanks.

This is from the weatherflow website:

Please note: The blue WEATHERmeter (WFANO-02) currently works with many popular ballistics calculator apps, however, we recommend the WEATHERmeter for Precision Shooting (WFPSM-02) as some ballistics apps in the future may only support a version of the firmware contained on the shooting specific device.

So it is possible that at some point in the future the blue would stop working with strelok pro or BA. Given the fact that many of the blue were sold for this purpose its rather unlikely that an app developer would decide to limit their sales to an identical meter that has a different id in firmware and a different color.... they most likely would prefer to sell to the maximum amount of people.

Its's $55 its probably worth the risk.

Geobalistics is probably the only site I didn't look at for these. I already placed the order for the blue one, but if that doesn't work with 4dof and Ballistic Arc I'll return the unit and order one of these.

Good tip on the calibration! I'll be sure to keep that in mind once I start playing with the meter.

Thanks

anyone have trouble getting it to turn on every time? Most days i use it it will start fine the first few times then most of the day unable to get it to power up. Get home or finish shooting and powers up and conects straight away. Both mine and a mates does the same thing. when it works its great.

Is this Weather Flow a better option to the Kestrel when working paired to Geo ballistics app or any other one? Would like to learn more from experienced users

It’s a great system especially at the price point. The app is great and has a ton of very cool features (some of which I am still trying to figure out ie dropping pins/targets overlaid on google maps for distances, etc.)

I’ve had the blue version for some time now with StrelokPro. The Bluetooth is definitely wonky and not reliable enough for field use. The built in compass is nearly worthless, sometimes off by as much as 90*

The thermometer is also iffy and slow to react (like when you take it out of your warm pocket). Was at a range the other day and its temperature was 10* warmer than the range thermometer - range thermo was 50, WeatherFlow blue showing 60. Pretty sure the true temp was closer to 50.

I’d have gotten a Kestrel by now if if the Revic hadn’t been announced.
