I haven't done the tracking test yet but so far it is well worth the money. It has some limitations with the 1" tube but otherwise its a very good option for someone wanting to explore Mil / Mil

At $299 you can't go wrong in trying it. Good finish, nice glass, once we test tracking we'll have more of the picture to comment on.

Lowlight, how would you stack the glass on the weaver vs the SS 3x9. I know the 1" tube could be limiting but primarily I won't be going past 500yds with the rig and would love to shift the cash saving to a nice larue quick detach base.

Re: Weaver Glam Slam Tactical Promo Code

I was able to spend a considerable amount of time with the Grand Slam Tactical today at the Range.

The Plus side, I managed to record about 13 Mils of useable elevation out of the scope even with the 1" tube. It appeared to top out around 13.4 Mils but the reticle stopped moving around 13 Mils.

Tracking was very good, I went well past 8 Mils of adjustment with the tracking and it held throughout, maybe a 1/10th here or there off but that very well could have been my mil reading.

The reticle on 10X was accurate. I made a cross with the 1" dots that were measured for 100 yards and they matched up very well, I also shot them going up 1 Mil, back, Down 1 Mil back, Left 1 mil back and Right 1 mil and back it they were all on target.

So basically using this promo code, for a $299 scope it was very good. The glass is good, the reticle is accurate and the turrets track throughout its complete travel.

Remember it is SFP, but also Mil Mil so if you are considering the switch here is a low cost way to test the waters.

So would you say innerds( thats WV speek :)) are metal on metal like the SS, how would you compair it to the SS 3-9 tracking, well I will just say it. how does it compair to the SS 3-9 per the Price Point<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Lowlight</div><div class="ubbcode-body">it is very similar to the SS, turrets are almost identical. </div></div>

Re: Weaver Glam Slam Tactical Promo Code

I have some close up photos, the innards are brass, but its definitely very much like the SS 3-9X, the turrets are almost identical, except brass, the clicks are decent, but not earth shattering good, there were a few spots it felt different and not as consistent, but it still tracked very well. I spun the knobs quite a bit between shots to see if I could trip it up. and it worked.

Again, for $299 even $399 it's a very good scope, and as I said I was surprised by the amount of travel, really surprise, but hey it worked. I measured the distance again before tossing the target and its 10.3 for the top of the last tracking test measurement, so it tracked to 10.3 mils with no troubles at all.

Re: Weaver Glam Slam Tactical Promo Code

Just ordered mine. Called Midway and tried to order over the phone and the call-taker could not find the promo code and told me it was not good. I thanked them and hung-up and then logged in to my Midway account and typed in the promo code and it worked like it was suppose to and deducted $100 off the order total.

    Thanks Frank!

Re: Weaver Glam Slam Tactical Promo Code

I am very tempted to go ahead and order one, as this is a great deal. I am getting ready to order one of the Super Slam 1.5-6x for a 16" build, and I believe the 3-10x would be a great choice for a 16" bull barrel. Might as well go ahead and order both!!
