Boy, I look like a crack head. My brain was talking about the Bushnell XRS 2, not the Burris. Sorry guys, I have no experience with the Burris. ?

Seriously???
The weaver is optically better than any of those and is built like a tank too...

All of the Weavers are built like tanks, but the 6-30 is in a whole different class than the Weaver 4-20 and 3-15 in terms of glass. There is a reason the 6-30 sold for $2k when it came out vs $700-800 for the 4-20.

I've had both the 6-30 and a 3-15. I will agree, the 6-30 had some slight differences making it better than the smaller ones. However, the 3-15 is still much better than those others mentioned. At least in the glass department. I know if you are a turret purist, you will say the Burris might be better. On my recent 223 build, I was debating a 3-15 weaver or a 3-12 LRTS. I went with the bushy but I kinda wish I had a 3-15 weaver to be honest.

Either you had a really good 3- 15 and I mean way above average or your eyes are completely different than mine.

I used it extensively in the 2017-2018 hunting season. I gave it shit tons of use specifically at night time with only ambient light and I was able to make out deer and wild pigs with ease.

Have you done a side by side comparison with the weaver & LRTS?

I can't say one is better than the other without having them next to each other. The reason I would like to have the weaver over the LRTS though is for its illumination (since I give it nighttime use). I also have to assume that the 50mm objective lens was the reason for its great low light clarity, some thing which the LRTS may be lacking in, given its objective lens size in comparison to that of the weaver.

I still have a Weaver 6-30. Had the Weaver 3-15(x2) and 4-20. Also had the SWFA 5-20. When I did a side by side with all 5, the 6-30 is the easy winner in glass. SWFA beat the 3-15's and 4-20's by more than I expected, but falls short of the 6-30.

Never owned the LRTS so can't comment on that one and no idea on low light capability on any as all my evaluations were during the day as I don't hunt with any of these scopes.
