I just recently bought these primers from I believe Natchez but can not completely confirm that.. What’s important is this, take a look at the picture. The primer on the left is the “normal” looking primer. 3/4 of the primers appear to be “normal”. The ones on the right have the purple dye caked above the anvil. I loaded some and there was in fact a velocity shift and a fairly consistent one at that. Have you guys seen this before?

Those are Federal 215s and the purple dye is a color code indicating these are magnum primers.
Yea, there’s purple dye on all of them. Just 1/4 of them have the super thick purple stuff that cakes over the anvil.

I ended up peeling some of it off on one of the primers and it’s just like latex. It stretches and peels off.
