well the history of the carpenters original people in this country is a good solid patriotic freedom loving bunch, mostly from German stock, including soldiers and leaders in the Continental Army, friends of GW himself. Read his writings about these people and you will see why he was a friend of them and look after their protection in the new Nation. Things changed as a block in early 1900's when Eastern European members of the tribe started coming over to escape Marxism and the pogroms in the communist countries, including many many new New Yorkers..kind of like things changing with black america with the war on poverty bringing them into the destructive socialist party... the eastern European members bought over their socialist mentality and stayed that way until this very day.. the original trribe members have never bought into that bullshit and maintain small enclaves to themselves not the NY/LA connection most people are familiar with,, the Carolina, Georgia and even Texas has strong showings.
I could go on and on but it might trigger some people so I will leave it at that.. lets hope Trump can make a dent in that community and the black community, the repubs have abandoned the battlefield to the enemy, trump is trying to re engage. Its healthy for the country to have this fight for votes happen.
