If you had to put a percentage on how much better you shot off of bags as opposed to your bi-pod what would it be?
I don't know if this will make sense, but, off the bi-pods I shot fairly good groups but I was consistently about .5 moa high from my POA. Off the bags today I was more 'dead-on' and I was able to get back on target faster.
For you more experienced shooters does that make sense?

The low one was the third shot. What I believed happened was as follows. I had the target taped to a card board box sitting at the 100yd line. Some other guys were there shooting pistols. At times the wind was blowing so hard it was blowing the pistol shooting guys targets over. The wind was blowing from behind us heading down range. I think on that low shot the wind picked up my target ever so slightly causing me to hit low.

The first shot is the one in the middle. All the rest were high. (I was aiming dead center) Thats off the bi-pod.
Today off the bags my POI and POA were really close.
Does that make sense to you more experienced guys?
Usually, when you have a vertical shift (Up or Down) in your POI from your POA it's often related to your breathing. Shooting from a bipod will exaggerate any upward/downward motion from your breathing. Now if you have good breathing control, it could be that you tend to pivot on a bipod more than you do on a rest bag...
Probably a sturdy rest with the bags. I don't care what people say, most guns hop or twist before the bullet leaves the muzzle. Often with a better rest the recoil is directly into the chest/shoulder and there is less flip. Therefore POI is POA.

Environmental conditions shouldn't affect this much, 0.75 MOA seems excessive for a .308 @100yrds...
I'm insanely jealous...on a windy day no less. My friend, I aspire to attain such groups someday but nothing even close so far! Good job!

C'mon folks, that's damned good shooting, and I get about the same percentage of leakers even with my handloads. I think the issue may have something to do with variations in neck tension.
