I have no reason to be anywhere online other than the Hide. It's the gun friendliest place there is. A small alternative is https://www.full30.com/ for videos, although I don't watch too many videos so I'm not there very much. There's a SH channel on there along with other good ones.
In real life, the range is best.
Edit: Since this necro-thread was revived, Full30 is still running but Frank hasn't posted anything in over two years. John McQuay is still running his 8541Tactical channel on there though, always a good watch.

I don’t do Facebook, but I would join a gun friendly alternative just to detract from Facebook anybody in the firearms business needs to shitcan their Facebook account like yesterday. I believe YouTube and Facebook have miss judged their “not needing” anyone on the right to survive. I would love to see a documentary in 20 years about this thing called Facebook and YouTube and how they collapsed.

Not on YouTube or Instagram, nor FB or Twitter (or any of the other big names), rarely make my way over to Full30 which I mentioned as a video based pro-gun alternative. I do have a LinkedIn account for job hunting, that will get smoked here soon once I start work and get through the probation period.

Speaking of Social Media, I noticed my FB Page for SH will barely load if at all, yet if I just go to the news feed it loads perfectly well
My page has an Error message that says Oops we are working on the problem, and you have to load it several times to work, but the normal feed and other pages work

Another really stupid thing that some social media platforms such as Twitch and Twitter have started to adopt is to ban/suspend you for shit you do on other sites. So as most of you all know, I'm not very friendly to the SJW crowd and under these new dumbass rules, if I said something here at the Hide to the effect of "all SJWs are faggots" and Twitch found out about it, I'd get my Twitch account banned. I'm no stranger when it comes to assholes stealing my content from other sites and try to use it against me, but now it's entire platforms that are gonna be acting like autistic detectives. This being a gun site and all, the Second Amendment is very important to us, but we need to acknowledge that our First Amendment is getting hit way harder as of late.

Good in theory, but Facebook is not a battleground. It's a biased entity that does not depend on the truth. Not only can there be no fair fight, you're not allowed to fight at all. Try and you get banned. Twitter and Youtube are slightly better turf, but the steady creep towards political correctness is just a fact of life there too. I expect Youtube to bow under stress before Twitter, but time will tell. We need to speak with our votes in the mid-terms and in the next presidential election.
If everyone here went to places like Youtube and posted anything and everything related to firearms or shooting, they would go broke trying to police it!
Setup a bogus account, use it until they shut it down, and then open another one. It is actually really easy to do.
I should know, I have been doing it for years! Unfortuntately, when the numbers of people who are doing it is small, it does not putting enough strain on their system to break it.

Been there, done that, still doing that. We're working on more Youtube shooting vids right now. So I get what you are saying, but the noose is tightening and it's a matter of time before they step through, topic by topic and keep re-writing the rule book. I'm looking at how much time I have, how I spend it and what impact it has. Bogus forum account setup gets old and has limited impact. Your "numbers of people who are doing it is small" comment is a part of the crux. We have to look at ways to recruit and grow.
That's where I'm coming from. Sometimes you need a big hammer, other times you need something more subtle that has potential for growth.

Like it or not Cambridge Analytica used Facebook's weaknesses against the Democrats and swung the election in Trump's favor. What they did was nothing shy of brilliant, and Hillary would be president today if they hadn't use the social media platforms they did and in the ways they did.

Did you watch the movie Social Dilemma? This is how we live our lives controlled by the biggest industries. Google does the same thing with all the apps and devices we have at home. Nothing is certain nowadays. We are manipulated and continue to be. What is good about everything is that we are able to earn money just by sitting under our comfort blanket. I'm a video gamer and having over 40 k followers on Instagram and 20K on my Facebook page I was eager to have more. More followers, more money bro. Not? I used Helpwyz's service on this Website to grow my audience by paying. This shit is fucking working, for sure. I have almost 100 K and I want continue to grow, why not if the price is the lowest one.
